The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!  Please let me introduce myself!  My name is Michelle.  This is me before.

Then, I would have continued my introduction by saying, ‘I am a full time career woman and a proud mother’.  I likely would have boasted about the hard work I’ve done throughout my 15 year career in the financial industry.  How I’ve built a respectable reputation as a hard working, passionate professional.  Through no fault of any employer, what I wouldn’t have told you about is the stress, anxiety, insane working hours and (not without valiant effort) my inability to maintain a healthy work/life balance. I’ve simply always put too much pressure on myself. This is me now.

It’s been 3 months since my hair started growing back from the chemotherapy I took after receiving a sudden and life-threatening diagnosis of Acute Promyelotic Leukemia in December 2017.  I invite you to peruse my blog where you’ll learn about who I am and why, my life journey pre, during and post cancer.  I am confident that, along the way, you will learn a thing or two to help you on your journey as well.  Whether that be as a fighter, a survivor, a caregiver or a supporter of someone fighting.  Enjoy!
